While Stumbling I just discovered notalwaysright dot com. It reminds me why I loathe the customer service industry. One of my first jobs when I was 16, was working as seasonal Xmas help at Fred Meyers, in the housewares department. I stocked, got carts, and helped customers find things, the usual. I can’t recall specifically anything other than hating the endless stupid questions. Customers who became irate and irrational the more they were exposed to someone not.
It’s taken many years, but I’ve finally removed myself from directly interacting with customers entirely. Instead I realize what those customers do for a living - they’re in marketing. Sigh.
